t is a special colored mat board that can be added around the artwork to enhance the visual impact of the frame.
We offer three colors: white, gray, and black, with a width of 5 cm (approx. 2") on each side.
IMPORTANT: When adding a mat (passe-partout), the final overall size of the frame remains approximately the same as published for the chosen molding. What changes is the visible size of the artwork, which is reduced by 10 cm (approx. 4") in both height and width.
For example: if the print measures 30 x 40 cm (11.8" x 15.7"), once the mat is added, the visible image will measure 20 x 30 cm (7.9" x 11.8").
